Host Family Letter

Dear future host family,
with this letter I would like to give you a impression about my life, and I tell you the reasons why I want to be an AuPair.
My name is Laura. I live with my parents Sonja and Peter in a village named ******, in the north of Germany. It is a small house by a new building area. My father has his own company, it is a supermarket from the chain “Rewe”.
In the following I will give you a insight about my free time. I be always active. Once in a week I go to my training as a “dance mary”. We must learn a choreography until February. It makes me a lot of fun, to dance with my friends. It is also very traditional for my area. My carnival association is more than 50 years old. Every year it change the whole dance and music. Moreover, I try to go once in the week to the fitness studio.
In my daily routine I stand up and drive to my school. In June 2016 I will finish school with my A-levels. After school I learning and making my homework for school. Two times per week, after school, I'm working in our supermarket. If I didn't work I try to variety my afternoon. Sometimes I play football with friends, cook and bake, or read good books. In the evening I helping my mom by cooking the dinner. Specially in the winter time we cook together traditional german dishes, for example pork roast with crackling and dumpling or smoked pork chop with sourcrout. Since my nephew lives, it naturalized that I'm driving two or three times in the week to my brother and his girlfriend to spend time together.
I would describe myself as uncomplicated, confident, outgoing, reliable, open-minded and very organized. After my year as an au pair I would like to study a occupation where I must organise a lot. Maybe sports manager or something else.
Now I would like to tell you something about my childcare experience. The first experience in the field of childcare I gained at the age of thirteen years. I have given tutoring to the child who lived next door to me, and I'm take care of a 3 years old sweet Girl named Emily.
I did an internship in the same kindergarden for two times. Since my nephew was born, I take care of him regularly. Recently, he can consciously smile. He is the focal point in our little family. I'm curious how Noah evolves.
I want to be an Au Pair because I love the care of children and to watch how the little ones grow up. Also I find it exceting to see how the children see the world and learn many things with the time. I also love it to learn the language and to teach my german language to.
A short holiday isn't inadequately to become enough insights. I would like to learn the American culture from a very realistic point of view. To be a part of your life would particularly please me.
Thank you for reading my family letter. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon and I hope we will spent a great time with each other!
Laura Marie
